A few weeks ago I was at the butterfly exhibit. Remembering how fascinating it was to look see a uniquely beautiful, tiny flying piece of art flitting about the garden I wish the scattered thoughts zipping around my mind were either as artistic or fascinating. Unfortunately they are just distracting.
I was driving down the street today, and it was so beautiful. I drove past a beautiful neighborhood that had put out pine wreaths with large red bows on their brick and iron fencing. It was so festive. And the landscaping was beautiful. I think we will have to go back there and take some family pics.
I am concerned that I actually missed the chance to get pictures with the autumn leaves. We have rushed right from summer to chilly. Chilly= need a jacket sometimes. ~I love living in Texas!~
Decorating for Christmas, I really thought it would be fun to do this weekend, but we have spent the day chasing projects, tasks, and run-away kiddie emotions and have not done the house work requisite for hauling out boxes and boxes of treasures, trees, and lights. It is one of those times when I wonder, would it be easier to just throw away everything, and if I really need it I can replace it. Imagine how clean your house would be if you just threw away everything that was messy.
On Thursday I will have another treatment and some blood work. This blood work isn't expected to tell if we are making progress, but rather if we aren't loosing ground. I don't know if the results are processed quickly while I am at the office, or if it must be sent off and results come later. This is the double-wammy treatment where I get treatment for both bones and hormones. I better start training for it now. This means extra water, veggies and protein. ~Luckily I have a fantastic smoked turkey to munch on.
Smoked turkey is my favorite food ever! And, we are all loving our "green smoothies", we have one every day and the kids are quite proficient at making them.
Last night our smoothie was just spinach and bananas. That was good, but the banana is much sweeter if it is from the freezer and not at room temp. So, I did add some vanilla soy protein which made it super sweet. I have read confusing information about soy and hormones, so I think I will read about whey protein and maybe start using that.
As a PS- I got a rockin pair of Mizuno Wave Precision shoes yesterday at Luke's Locker. Can I just say, I LOVE THESE SHOES. This is the first time I have deviated from Asics for years, but the feel of these shoes is actually better. They are lighter and built more flat. The best part? It is actually something of a bonus, they have the fantastic touch of a beautiful little cherry blossom graphic on the side. I am insane over the marriage of form and function in this running shoe. I wish there was more of this in the fashion world. Do you think I could write to Mizuno about adding career shoes to their line? Maybe I could head up the marketing department.
