Hi guys,
I am back at the office having completed my first round of treatment.
Q: How are you feeling?
A: OUCH!!!!!
Q: Oh no, are you going to be ok
A: I don't know.
Q: What happened?
A: I got a tiny needle in the abdomen to inject super bone powers. That wasn't a big deal. Then I got a needle with a syringe the size of an oil pipeline, one in each "hip" with the hormone blockers. They weren't actually filled with oil; Nurse Stacey called it "stuff as thick as Karo Syrup". That was both painful and much easier than many treatments. So, I am going to be ok, but I wanted to be a little dramatic.
So, I am feeling fine. Mom and I had lunch after the appointment. I got back to the office, and when it was discovered that I didn't get a sucker, cookie, or stickers Miss D gave me her Rice Krispy Treat; I happily munched it up.
I will go back in two weeks for some more shots in the back-side, and in two weeks after that I will get all three again. Then we go to monthly shots of all three and anticipate some drop in cancer markers by the second month. At the end of month 3 I will get to have that super fun ride on PET/CT.
For now, I just maintain this schedule and go from there.
